I work as a Senior Data Scientist at Invesco in the Strategy, Innovation and Planning team. My primary area of work lies at the intersection of Natural Language Processing and asset management. One very interesting project that I did involved using NLP to generate new thematic ETFs.
Before starting with Invesco, I had an amazing opportunity to work for Lutron Electronics. I worked on building predictive models that could generate Bill of Materials using building specifications and provide automated quotes to contractors and designers, hence enabling sales teams to focus on specialized projects.
Prior to joining Georgia Tech, I worked as Data Scientist and Strategy Executive for Oil and Natural Gas Corporation. I established the department of analytics that synergizes the purely data driven machine learning modeling approach with traditional oilfield simulations. Additionally, I managed oil assets by building and utilizing production optimization models, statistical time-series forecasting, and employing data mining techniques on a variety of data.
I graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Masters of Science in Analytics, majoring in Computational Data Analytics. The major courses that I studied are Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Regression Analysis, Deterministic Optimization, and Data and Visual Analytics.
I received my B.E with Honors in Chemical Engineering from BITS - Pilani in 2015. I am really fortunate to be a part of BITS alumni because BITS provided me an opportunity to experiment with engineering, coding, music and arts in one lifetime through quality education.
I dabble in Classical Bharatiya Sangeet and Western Music. I am into musical instruments of all sorts. I also love travelling and have covered a lot of Northern and Western India during my undergrad and working years. Also, thanks to my father's job relocations, I have stayed in and explored over 11 cities in India during my childhood. During my stay in US, I have visited every state on the East Coast
